About EG’s Middle Online School

The Online School Program at Eastwood Global combines the strengths of the American curriculum with the enriching elements of the IB MYP, providing a unique and comprehensive educational experience.

We believe that by offering a curriculum that combines the best aspects of the American educational system with the enriching and globally focused IB philosophy, we prepare our students not only for academic success but also for a meaningful and impactful life in a rapidly changing world.

Here are the key advantages:

  • The American curriculum offers a broad spectrum of subjects, allowing students to explore diverse areas of interest. Embedding the IB philosophy ensures that students also receive a balanced education that emphasizes critical thinking, intercultural understanding, and global awareness.

  • The IB philosophy focuses on the development of the whole person, encouraging students to become inquirers, knowledgeable thinkers, communicators, principled, open-minded, caring, risk-takers, balanced, and reflective. This complements the American curriculum's emphasis on academic rigor and practical skills.

  • The IB's emphasis on inquiry-based learning fosters curiosity and a love of learning. This approach aligns well with the American curriculum's flexibility, allowing students to pursue in-depth studies in areas they are passionate about.

  • Embedding the IB philosophy helps students develop a sense of international-mindedness and responsibility towards the world. This prepares them to be active, compassionate, and lifelong learners who understand that other people, with their differences, can also be right.

  • Eastwood Global leverages technology to provide a flexible and personalized learning experience. Students can access resources and support anytime, anywhere, making education more accessible and tailored to individual needs.

Grades 6 - 8

With Eastwood Global's innovative approach of Inquire - Explore - Evaluate, Grades 6 - 8 students engage in live learning sessions with their teachers for 20 periods per week (tentatively).
