    Monday 12 May – 4pm-6pm (Swiss time)
    By the end of this session, you will:
    · Better understand the IB Academic Integrity Policy that frames the use of AI,

    · Feel able to guide your students in their use of AI in DP assessment (from effective AI research skills to proper referencing of AI sources),

    · Have explored how to use AI to enhance formative and summative assessments in your subject.

  • Session 3: AI for learning purposes 

    Monday 26 May – 4pm-6pm (Swiss time)
    By the end of this session, you will:
    · Appreciate how AI (especially chatbots) can help support students’ learning (especially for personalization, assisting with homework, tutoring and answering questions),

    · Understand how to use from AI tools for differentiation, consolidation and revision, especially in the context of the ATL,

    · Feel able to support your students in their use of AI (especially providing them with guidance about ‘prompt engineering’ techniques).

  • Session 4: Consolidation : the IB, AI and me! 

    Monday 9 June– 4pm-6pm (Swiss time)
    By the end of this session, you will:
    · Have reflected on the benefits and challenges of integrating AI tools in your own IB practice,

    · Have identified best practices and innovative ideas for using AI with our IB students,

    · Create an action plan for your ongoing professional development in AI (ensuring continuous growth and adaptation to new AI technologies and applications that can further enhance our IB educational practices).

Dr. Loykie
Lominé

Dr. Loykie Lominé is a recognized thought leader in the intersection of AI and education. With deep experience in IB and global classrooms, his sessions are practical, relevant, and engaging.

He has worked with the IB for over 20 years, holding various roles such as chief examiner, curriculum developer, paper setter and workshop leader. In addition to teaching IB Business Management in Spain and Lithuania, he has led over 200 IB workshops on topics including the ATL (Approaches to Teaching and Learning), assessment for learning, the EE (Extended Essay), academic integrity – and most recently: artificial intelligence.

He has published several books with Oxford University Press, as well as numerous book chapters and articles, including works on the use of AI tools in education.
